Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I enjoy helping people and find the law interesting.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
My work as general counsel to the Auto Body Association of Connecticut and in meeting with Auto Body Associations across the country has served to highlight the length insurers will go to save money. You simply cannot trust insurance companies.
What made you choose your primary area of law?
I enjoy being in court and the intensity of a litigation practice.
What makes your law firm unique?
At Buckley and Wynne, your case is handled from start to finish by an experienced attorney. We are always available to our clients by phone, e-mail or in person. A large part of our work comes from other attorneys and past clients. That's because we do quality work, get great results and treat every client with dignity and respect.
Describe your ideal client.
My ideal client is open an honest with me, willing to regularly communicate with me, trust well-reasoned advice, and be willing to follow the advice of competent caretakers and specialists.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
When I'm not working, I spend my time with my wife and our two boys.
Describe your charitable activities.
I regularly volunteer at local libraries to offer free legal advice; I sit on the New Haven County Bar Association's Public Service Committee, where I help organize and participate in a host of charitable programs; I help coordinate a diaper collection drive each year; I volunteer at the New Haven Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (DESK); and periodically represent clients pro bono.
